Jonah Hill Has Been 'Talking A Lot' With Ben Stiller About 'Zoolander 2'

Between "Get Him to the Greek" and "21 Jump Street," Jonah Hill has several anticipated projects on the horizon. But there is one potential film role the comedian's fans are particularly excited about: a villainous turn in "Zoolander 2."

While promoting the forthcoming "How to Train Your Dragon," Hill revealed to MTV News that there's some truth to reports connecting him to an antagonist role in the developing "Zoolander 2," though he's not officially onboard just yet. According to Hill, there's nothing to sign on to at the moment.

"There is no 'officially onboard.' There is no ship," the actor laughed when asked if he was committed to a "Zoolander" sequel. "They're writing it right now. We've been talking a lot about it, and it seems really exciting and fun."

While his involvement isn't official quite yet, Hill said he's interested in the project due to his admiration for "Zoolander 2" collaborators Ben Stiller and Justin Theroux, not to mention his own appreciation of the original 2001 comedy. "If Ben and Justin want me to do it, we've been talking about it," he reiterated. "I saw Ben a couple of days ago, and we've been talking a lot about it, and it's really exciting. I love 'Zoolander,' and I think it's going to be really fun. Hopefully, they can get it together and we'll get going."

If cast, Hill's new character would be featured alongside original male models Derek Zoolander (Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson), both of whom have been forgotten by the fashion industry.

"In the fashion world, if you go away for a year, it's changed. It just happens so quickly," Stiller told MTV News last month of the "Zoolander" sequel's plot. "I think the idea in the beginning of the movie is that it's 10 years later, and Derek and Hansel are literally forgotten. Nobody remembers who they are, so they have to reinvent themselves."
