Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, Kathy Bates, Ashton Kutcher, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Bradley Cooper — a few Oscar winners, many A-listers, some of the most in-demand talent in Hollywood. They also all play characters in "Valentine's Day," the upcoming rom-com that weaves together many different story lines to form a film about the vagaries of love.
And out of all these plot strands, the one that might be co-star Jessica Alba's favorite does not focus of any of these long-established Tinseltown players but on two relative newcomers (and a rumored former real-life couple): country superstar Taylor Swift and "Twilight" werewolf Taylor Lautner.
"Taylor Swift is so cute," Alba told MTV News. "And Taylor Lautner is so cute. Their story line is definitely one of my favorites."
The Taylors play high school students who fall in love after a spit-balled note from guy to girl asks, "What's up?" Alba confessed that she wasn't too familiar with their past work. She's never seen the "Twilight" films and said Swift's tunes won't be found on her iPod. "I'm not terribly familiar with her, to be quite honest," the 28-year-old actress said. "I think her music is maybe for a generation younger. I feel old. I feel so old!"
Alba's pop-culture tastes, it turns out, skew to the grunge-rock scene of the early '90s. "I watched MTV when Nirvana was going Unplugged," she said. "I used to watch Pearl Jam. This is a different generation."
That generation gap, however, didn't stop Alba from connecting with her younger co-star — and giving her big props for her turn in front of the camera. "Taylor Swift is so cute," Alba said. "I laughed out loud during her scenes. She is hilarious."
