'Valentine's Day' Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need To Know

Whether you're in love or not, Valentine's Day is this Sunday, and "Valentine's Day" is the perfect movie to share with your honey — or throw popcorn at if you're single and bitter. Starring Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, both Jessicas, both Taylors and seemingly everyone in Hollywood with the exception of Joe Piscopo, it's a unique opportunity to learn the do's and don't s of dating from your favorite stars.

Directed by iconic Hollywood veteran Garry Marshall, "Valentine's Day" will do its best to shoot an arrow into your heart this weekend. But, before you go see the highly anticipated flick, check out our must-see cheat sheet to prepare yourself for a movie as sweet and surprising as a Whitman's sampler.

Valentine's Day Family Tree
First off, the film's trailer is enough to get all the single ladies (and some gents?) excited. From the beginning, the film was conceived as the "Love Boat" of romantic comedies, throwing so many stars into the mix that it would make "He's Just Not That Into You" jealous. There was always a lot of speculation about who was starring in this film, but sorry JoBro fans: No Joe for you. Starstruck? Check out MTV's family tree of the "Valentine's Day" cast to see who the famous stars are and how they are connected from past relationships to past projects. How did Kevin Bacon not end up in this thing?

The Do's and Don'ts of Valentine's Day
According to Jessica Alba, it's not polite to check your BlackBerry or iPhone while on a date. Alba said it's rude, and she advises men if you must do it, "excuse yourself to the restroom." OK, we've all been guilty of that at one point, right? Ashton Kutcher's advice, on the other hand, is to "catch them off guard" — we hope Demi agrees. Kutcher has admitted to hating Valentine's Day but says that if it's going to be done, celebrate it ASAP — in the morning.

Stars Dish on L.A.
George Lopez spoke the truth to MTV when he said there are some great romantic comedies in New York — so why not Los Angeles? We agree with Lopez (well, at least the West Coast MTV office does, and we're writing this) that it's about time a film represents the City of Angels. Topher Grace said the film doesn't portray a "Hollywood L.A., it's what it really is to live in Los Angeles." Anyone living in L.A. would attest that the city can be pretty normal — well, some of the time.

Taylor and Taylor, Sittin' In a Tree
As "Twilight" fans have been breathlessly anticipating, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner both appear in this film together and spend much of their screen time sucking face. Take a look at some makeout photos from the set to see for yourself. When Emma Roberts showed up at the "New Moon" premiere to support Taycob, she admitted that she spent a whole day on set just watching them play tonsil hockey. Such moments, however, made stars like Jessica Alba find Taylor and Taylor to be oh "so cute." And an FYI to the cougar ladies: Taylor Lautner came of age this week, the day before the movie premiere hit theaters. Now that he's 18, Lautner is old enough to vote — and choose whether he's going to side with the Twilighters or the Valentine-ers in a dance-off. It's a decision nearly as big as his biceps.

A Hottie and a Crush
While the two Taylors may be "cute," they're not the only young hotties worth celebrating. Up-and-coming actor Carter Jenkins is our Hump Day Hottie this week. Our Girl Crush of the week is Emma Robertshttp://hollywoodcrush.mtv.com/2010/02/10/happy-birthday-emma-roberts-the-valentines-day-star-is-this-weeks-girl-crush/. Emma, niece and co-star of Julia Roberts, also celebrates her 19th birthday this week.

The Styles Were Sharp and Chic
On Monday night (February 8), the stars hit the red carpet in Hollywood to premiere the movie. Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher and Patrick Dempsey were looking handsome as they posed for pictures and gave interviews. If you can't wait to see them on the big screen, here's more footage of the "Valentine's Day" male hotties to hold you over. Of course, we cannot forget the beautiful ladies of the night — they all looked chic and amazing. Even Shirley MacLaine looked beautiful wearing a black suit — let's just hope that Oscar-winning cougar keeps her paws off Taylor Lautner.

V-Day Memories
Jennifer Garner, Bradley Cooper and Jessica Biel all shared their favorite Valentine's Day memories with us recently. Garner recalled her best one was as a single woman who hit up the wine country with her friend; Biel likes to share the day with her dad, while Topher Grace admitted he did not have a favorite memory. Something tells us there are some ladies out there who'd like to volunteer for weekend duty.

Sequel already?
The movie is just now coming out, but there have already been rumors that there is a sequel in the works. The follow-up would be set on New Year's Eve, which only leaves us with one remaining question: When can we expect "Arbor Day: The Romantic Comedy"?

Check out everything we've got on "Valentine's Day."
