'Valentine's Day' Stars Find Romance, Onscreen And Off

Director Garry Marshall's "Valentine's Day" is both a celebration and examination of the complexities of love. With the aid of a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Jessica Alba, Jamie Foxx, Anne Hathaway and others, "Valentine's Day" demonstrates just how blissful and confusing love can be at times — but many of these actors aren't just dealing with matters of the heart on the big screen. For many of them, love is a very deep (and often public) part of their own personal lives.

Before you let the cast of "Valentine's Day" teach you a thing or two about how to woo your lover of choice, it's worth wondering what lessons can be gleaned simply by studying these actors and their own romantic lives. In some instances, the road leads to a happy Hollywood marriage, while in others, it leads to heartache. Cozy on up with a box of your favorite bonbons and enjoy this look back on the romantic exploits of the stars of "Valentine's Day."

Ashton Kutcher
In "Valentine's Day," Ashton Kutcher plays Reed Bennett, a florist at the center of much of the film's passionate activity. Years ago, Kutcher himself filled a similar role, dating a variety of fellow actresses including January Jones and the late Brittany Murphy. But in early 2003, Kutcher made headlines when he started a relationship with Demi Moore, an actress 15 years older than the former "That 70's Show" star. While some were skeptical of the couple at the time, Kutcher and Moore have been happily married since 2005, proving their doubters wrong.

Bradley Cooper
Back in 2005, "Wedding Crashers" hit theaters and catapulted Bradley Cooper into the public eye. But even as the young actor worked tirelessly to establish himself as Hollywood's next leading man, Cooper found love with actress Jennifer Esposito. The two were married in December 2006, but it was a short-lived affair, as Esposito filed for divorce in April of the next year. Most recently, Cooper has been romantically linked to Oscar-winning actress RenŠ¹e Zellweger.

Jennifer Garner
Although happily married to "Daredevil" co-star Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner hasn't always traveled the easiest romantic road. In 2000, she married "Felicity" co-star Scott Foley. The pair eventually divorced in 2003, claiming that their celebrity status cost them their marriage. Despite that assertion, Garner continued looking for love in the hills of Hollywood, enjoying a brief romance with "Alias" co-star Michael Vartan before ultimately marrying Affleck in 2005.

Jessica Biel
Privacy isn't an easy thing to come by for celebrities, especially where romance is involved. Despite a desire to keep her relationship with pop sensation Justin Timberlake a secret, Jessica Biel's romantic life has been under a microscope since rumors of their pairing first surfaced in 2007. Now, with rumors that the two have parted ways, the constant scrutiny seems to have gone away, largely because Biel has refused to address the situation.

Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift
The relationship between Grammy-winning Taylor Swift and "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" star Taylor Lautner was just too good to be true, and not only because they share the same first name. While their short-lived romance seems to be over for now, fans of both the country singer and the on-the-rise action star will get a chance to see the two of them together one last time as a young couple in love in "Valentine's Day."
