Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will be wetting the Twilighters' appetite for all things "New Moon" when they premiere an extended trailer for the flick at the VMAs in New York City on September 13. But it wasn't that long ago that the Twilight cast was premiering clips in the preshow and not the main show.
This was the case when Pattinson, Stewart and Cam Gigandet premiered a clip in the preshow at the 2008 Movie Awards. It was the first time a clip from the "Twilight" franchise had been debuted anywhere, so it really was a big moment for the group.
In the 59-second clip, fans got a chance to see Bella Swan get terrorized by James (Gigandet), until, of course, she is rescued by Edward Cullen, who puts up a good fight against James and his wicked ways.
At the time the "Twilight" crew didn't seem too used to all the attention and shouting fans, and Pattinson even described it all as a bit intimidating.
"It's a little bit daunting," he told MTV News on the red carpet at the show. "We still don't ... well, I don't really understand how big it actually is."
And then Stewart interjected, "But, yeah, it's really exciting. Come on, he's putting a negative twist on it and we're stoked. We can't wait. Regardless of what it is, we put everything we had into it and we couldn't have done any better. You can't expect too much from yourself."
