'Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part 2': Watch New Clips Here!
With the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" a little more than a week away, Warner Bros. has brought out the big guns, releasing a whopping nine clips from the upcoming final installment. Teasing the many action set pieces in store for fans, the previews are a good glimpse of what's to come, especially for those who don't mind a few spoilers. Snape as headmaster? Check. A look inside Bellatrix's Gringotts vault? Check. Neville Longbottom as hero? Check. Read on for a rundown on the brand-new clips. And be sure to tune in on Monday, July 11, when we'll be streaming live from the New York red-carpet premiere of "Deathly Hallows, Part 2" at 4:30 p.m. ET on MTV.com! Chronologically speaking, the clip featuring Ollivander and Harry is one fans saw earlier this year when the studio released one of the opening scenes. In it, Harry presses Ollivander to reveal more of what he knows about the Deathly Hallows, but Ollivander denies having knowledge of them. Harry calls him out on his lie before asking Ollivander to do whatever he can to help him and his friends stop Voldemort. Clip #2 takes place during the much-anticipated Gringotts break-in. It starts off inside Bellatrix Lestrange's vault, after Harry, Ron, Hermione and Griphook have evaded the bank's defenses and one old dragon. Just as Harry spots one of Voldemort's horcruxes, Hermione and Ron discover that Bellatrix has laid a geminio curse on the vault to prevent intruders from obtaining its treasures. That doesn't stop the diligent Harry, though, as he scrambles to snatch the horcrux before the vault overflows. Fast-forward to them arriving at a safe haven, where Harry realizes the trio must go to Hogwarts to destroy a horcrux hidden there. When Hermione tries to reason with Harry, telling him they should plan what they're going to do first, he answers wryly, "Hermione, when have any of our plans actually worked ?" We finally get our first taste of Severus Snape as Hogwarts headmaster. Alan Rickman is appropriately terrifying and awe-inspiring in the role, but the real scene-stealer is Daniel Radcliffe, who confronts his enemy for the first time in the two-part finale. Meanwhile, Ron and Hermione venture back down to the Chamber of Secrets to get their hands on the basilisk's fang and destroy the horcrux they stole from Bellatrix's vault. Another great tease among these clips is a look at Neville Longbottom playing the hero, something fans of the books have long been anticipating. The Gringotts vault isn't the only big set piece to be showcased in the new clips: The Room of Requirement is shown, as well. First up, we get Draco and his goons as they find an unsuspecting Harry in the Room holding another one of Voldemort's horcruxes. This is followed by a scene showing the destruction of the Room. Sure, most of that fiery clip can be seen in previously released trailers, but the quick look is intriguing enough to leave fans wanting more. And, last but not least, there's MTV's exclusive "Deathly Hallows, Part 2" clip, which premiered last month at the Movie Awards. The scene reveals Harry's walk into the woods and Hagrid being held captive, making it one of the biggest teases released yet.
