UNIVERSAL CITY, California — The 2008 MTV Movie Awards brought out Hollywood's biggest names in their Sunday finest — and "Project Runway" champ Christian Siriano graced the gold carpet to separate the best from the worst.
One of the most striking and beautiful women on the carpet was undeniably Anne Hathaway. She appeared in a ruffled, asymmetrical, shimmering black mini. Also remarkable were her Brian Atwood shoes. "Transformers" actress Megan Fox wore a lively pink number, with a corset, billowing skirt and black ruffles. Lindsay Lohan was dressed in a royal-purple strapless mini-dress with tiered layers, cinched at the waist with a black vinyl belt.

The last to walk the gold carpet were Paris Hilton and her boyfriend, Good Charlotte's Benji Madden. Paris was stunning in an A-line, white strapless number with a balloon hem. Her dress was embellished with black lace set against the crisp white dress. Fashion goddess Sarah Jessica Parker looked fantastic in a fitted, L'Wren Scott sparkling mini with long sleeves and a high neck. She paired the look with off-white boots and a bright-pink clutch with diamond detailing.
Crowd-pleaser Tila Tequila was dressed in a draping, copper-tan gown with a plunging neckline and a velvet-detail strap in the back. She paired the look with a leopard-print sequin clutch and Manolo Blahniks. Matching the earthy-hued trend was Pussycat Dolls mastermind Robin Antin in a gold, copper and nude flapper-inspired backless mini.
"Hills" stars Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge both hit the carpet dressed in blue. Audrina wore a very fitted, deep-blue cocktail number with a plunging V-neck, paired with a metallic clutch, while LC went with an asymmetrical blue dress with cinched sides at the bottom.
Stars can get away with a more casual look on the Movie Awards' gold carpet, and Ellen Page rocked the best shoes of the night: black-and-white checkered high-top sneakers. And not to forget the men, Ben Barnes from "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" wore a military-inspired jacket with khaki and black detailing. T.I. strolled the carpet in a blue button-down shirt, jeans and just enough bling to blind onlookers. And Seth Rogen dressed up jeans with a black jacket and gray T-shirt.
Ben Stiller stepped it up a notch, wearing a black jacket with notch lapels on top of a black button-down shirt, black pants and a blue striped tie. Fashion icon Diddy was clean and dapper in a jacket with interesting shawl-type lapels. Not to be outdone, L.A. Lakers player Lamar Odom appeared in an extravagant gray suit with white pinstripes and hound's-tooth print, all of which was accented with maroon suede.
Laura Bell Bundy, from Broadway's "Legally Blonde," wore a sequin, racer-back cocktail dress in deep navy blue. Her entourage of girls, from the upcoming MTV show "Legally Blonde the Musical: The Search for Elle Woods," followed behind in bright-pink wrap dresses.
Lucy Walsh, from MTV's "Rock the Cradle," won Siriano's "Most Fierce Award" for her dress with lush ruffles in deep purple, eggplant and blue, cinched at the waist with a black sequin belt. The look was undeniably fierce — as it was designed by Siriano himself.
Another award was given to the Pussycat Dolls for being the "Most Flawless." They came in an assortment of black minis and shorts, garnished with jewel details, ruffles and plenty of sass to go around.
Vintage-inspired outfits also had a strong presence on the carpet, including "Superbad" actress Martha Maclsaac's blue, green and yellow strapless maxi-dress.
As for Siriano himself, he wore a deep-purple, plastic, button-down shirt with tuxedo ruffles. His fitted black pants, paired with a Gucci patent-leather belt, with exposed zipper are from his own collection.
It's the MTV Movie Awards: Go fierce or go home.
